DESCRIPTION:
AABLE LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to provide hands-on cybersecurity engineering support focusing on secure configuration, vulnerability assessment, and system hardening in accordance with DoD guidance. This role applies DISA STIGs, RMF requirements, and federal cybersecurity policies to maintain system security posture throughout the lifecycle of supported environments.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Implement DISA STIGs and secure configuration baselines for Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using ACAS and document findings for remediation tracking.
- Remediate vulnerabilities through patch deployment and configuration changes in accordance with DoD guidance.
- Apply federal and DoD cybersecurity policy, directives, and security management practices.
- Support RMF compliance activities by developing and maintaining cybersecurity engineering artifacts and evidence.
- Maintain and monitor baseline system security posture, ensuring continuous lifecycle alignment with RMF controls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
- High School Diploma or GED plus five (5) years of relevant cybersecurity experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
- Meet DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification requirements at a minimum of IAT Level I (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Eligible for IT Level II designation in accordance with DoD cybersecurity workforce qualification standards.
