DESCRIPTION:
AABLE LLC is seeking a Network Security Engineer III to provide advanced network security engineering, architecture, and sustainment support. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and enforcing network security controls across infrastructure components; assessing vulnerabilities; and ensuring resilient secure network operations in accordance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Design, implement, and enforce network security controls for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain Cisco networking devices and associated security features.
- Apply DISA STIGs and implement secure network configurations across enterprise environments.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
- Utilize and configure Active Directory for secure authentication, access control, and policy enforcement.
- Analyze network traffic and security events using packet analyzers such as Wireshark or tcpdump.
- Implement and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, and network security monitoring capabilities.
- Provide senior-level technical support for secure network engineering across the systems lifecycle.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of full-time professional cybersecurity experience performing system hardening, to include:
- Designing, implementing, configuring, and enforcing network security controls
- Performing STIG implementation
- Utilizing and configuring Active Directory
- Conducting vulnerability assessments with ACAS
- Configuring Cisco networking devices
- Using packet analyzer tools such as Wireshark or tcpdump
- Implementing and managing firewalls and IDS/IPS solutions
REQUIRED EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED plus fifteen (15) years of relevant cybersecurity experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree requirement.
- IT Level I and meets DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification requirements at a minimum of IAT Level III.
