DESCRIPTION:
AABLE LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with experience supporting the Marine Corps to support the execution of advanced development, research and development (R&D) programs. The candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases and interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with customers to develop new capabilities, define gaps, derive requirements, and develop project task descriptions, specifications, integrated roadmaps, and detailed schedules.
- Serve as the systems engineering focal point for coordination of technical project status and task execution throughout the design, engineering, integration, test, and program execution process.
- Coordinate functions between government and contractor project leads and engineers along with the operational subject matter experts, warfighters, and military leaders involved in program planning and execution.
- Develop, execute, monitor, and report status on assigned project task efforts, including analysis of test data.
- Support the development of acquisition and technical documentation.
- Serve as the systems engineer for team project technical execution, coordination, risk management and communication of concerns and issues with program management and technical leadership.
- Support and coordinate technical reviews, data analysis and reports, and monitor and report team and contract status/execution.
- Provide support and insight to determine the effectiveness of project execution and recommend modifications to task processes for future project activities or design reviews.
- Work with the Project Management and Task Lead(s) to develop out year planning for future capabilities and provide input to roadmaps for analysis, risk reduction, development, and integration of advanced capabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education.
- 10+ years of experience in the direct role of Systems Engineering supporting the Marine Corps.
- Working knowledge of the government contracting processes.
- Excellent and proven ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with customer/sponsor stakeholders and senior/executive leadership in government and industry.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in Marine Corps Operations, to include MAGTF operations and staff integration.
- Experience in Avionics Systems and/or Sensor Systems Engineering, and Aviation Systems engineering and requirements development processes.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR/NAVSEA Systems Engineering processes.
- DAWIA certification (or equivalent) in Program Management, Engineering and Technical Management, or Test and Evaluation.
- Experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, complex security environment.
- Experience coordinating operations across multiple organizational boundaries.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
